The story of the Dragon
... is linked to the mountains of Eptakomi.
On the mountain Dragonta lived a Dragon, which stopped
the flow of the water. In order to allow it to flow it
wanted a baby brought to eat every Saturday for food.
After all the babies had been eaten came the turn of the
only daughter of the King. The Princess waited at the
fountain to be eaten by the Dragon but fortunately for
her Saint George appeared. The Dragon eventually arrived
but when it saw Saint George and the girl waiting it
said:
“I can eat the horse, the girl for lunch and the boy for
supper”.
Saint George respondedby slaying the Dragon and freeing
the girl. |
