Antonis Konis was born in Eptakomi on 11/5/36.
He went to the village primary school and then
to the American Academy in Larnaca from where he
left to study in England. There he qualified
as an English teacher.
In 1954 he married Giannoulla Kyriakou Zaharia, they had three children. He had the
Cooperative Supermarket in the village until the
Turkish invasion.
The village was taken over by armed Turkish
fellow villagers and Turks from Galateia on 15
August. Around midday they gathered all the
