Ioannis was born in Eptakomi on 1/1/1929. He
went to the primary school and then worked as a
farmer until the invasion.
In 1955 Ioannis married Elli Papavasiliou and
had six children. During the second phase of the
invasion Ioannis was enclaved with his family.
On 15 August Turks from Galateia and Turkish
fellow villagers gathered the villagers in the
church yard and separated the men aged between
15-60 and took them to Galateia. There he was
kept prisoner until 20 August when he was freed.
On 22 August 1974 around 11.30 p.m. a Turk came and took
him to someone from Galateia, the son of a
butcher,
